This page is a collection of my favorite supplements. These are products that I have used or do currently use as part of my "Better Health" program or have gotten very good reports from others.  I welcome any comments or suggestions you may have. I am always open to learning about new products that may be better than some of those that I currently consider to be at the top of my list. I expect this list will change over time, but do think these are good options.

I have attempted to break them down into categories such as Anti-microbials, Detoxification, and so on.

• Natural Vitality Organic Life Vitamins

Natural Vitality Organic Life Vitamins is a liquid multi that I found after having tried several other products.  For the price, it is a fantastic deal.  It is also organic and taste quite good.

• Researched Nutritionals Transfer Factor Multi-Immune

Researched Nutritionals offers Transfer Factor Multi-Immune which may be a good option for supporting immune function and addressing various microbial infestations.  I think that many of us focus so much on Lyme that we overlook all of the viruses that are also impacting our health.  Having a product like Transfer Factor Multi-Immune in a protocol may be a very wise way to support the immune system to address things that are not always considered.

Minerals of Life may be one of the best multi-mineral products on the market.

• Longevity Plus D3
  

Vitamin D is important for proper immune function.  Much debate is ongoing about whether or not people with Lyme disease should supplement or restrict vitamin D levels.  All of the practitioners that I have worked with fall on the side of supplementing vitamin D.  I supplement with a target range in blood testing of 60-80.

  Bio En'R-Gy C

Bio En'R-Gy C is an advanced form of vitamin C that allows for much higher dosing levels without the gastrointestinal side effects often observed at much lower doses.

• MILA

MILA is a form of chia seed that I have been using since early 2011 after having learned about it from a practitioner that I trust.  It is a superb whole food product that I use almost daily.  More information on Mila, can be found here.

• The Core

The Core is a foundational support product for those that test positive for KPU, a condition that Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, MD, PhD finds in over 80% of people with chronic Lyme disease.  It contains zinc, manganese, B6, biotin, and other key substances that are deficient in those with the KPU condition.

• LivOn Labs Lipo-Spheric Vitamin C
  

Lipo-Spheric Vitamin C from LivOn Labs is a liposomal vitamin C option that may provide much better absorption of Vitamin C than other available options.

Antimicrobials

• Beyond Balance MC-BB-1, MC-BAB-1, MC-BAB-2, MC-BAR-1, IMN-R (formerly Immune Restore), IMN-V (formerly ImmunoVira), MC-REGENATO-1, MC-PROTA-Z, ENV-NM

Beyond Balance offers comprehensive herbal blends that may be helpful for people dealing with Lyme disease.  Some of their products include MC-BB-1, MC-BAR-1, MC-BAB-1, MC-BAB-2, IMN-R (formerly Immune Restore), IMN-V (formerly ImmunoVira), MC-REGENATO-1, MC-PROTA-Z, ENV-NM, and others.  I personally have been on protocols incorporating these products and have seen very positive shifts.  More details on these products can be found here.  Custom protocols can be developed by Susan McCamish CTN via Better Health as discussed in my blog entry here.

• NutraMedix Samento, Cumanda, Banderol, Enula, Mora, Lakato, Hottuynia

NutraMedix Samento, Cumanda, Banderol, Enula, Mora, Lakato, and Hottuynia are excellent herbal preparations that can be helpful to inhibit the growth and presence of various microbes. I personally have used Samento and have alternated between Cumanda and Banderol on regular cycles. Enula and Mora may be a good option for intracellular infections such as Babesia.  I have used them both.

If one is looking for options other than antibiotics, the "Cowden Protocol" which is based on NutraMedix products is a very well-planned treatment option that you may wish to consider in conjunction with your healthcare provider.

• BioPure Quintessence

BioPure Quintessence is as close to the "Buhner protocol in a bottle" that I have seen.  This product is one that I have used along the way for dealing with Lyme and related infections.

• Transfer Factor LymPlus (or Transfer Factor PlasMyc)
  

Transfer Factor LymPlus is a transfer factor product that may be useful for people with Lyme and co-infections as well as some of the major viruses such as EBV, CMV, and HHV6. I started taking this at a dosage of 1 capsule at bedtime for the first month and then increased to 2 capsules each night at bedtime. Transfer Factor Multi-Immune is another great product from the same vendor.

• Raintree Cat's Claw and Raintree MYCO

Raintree Cat's Claw is an herb mentioned in Stephen Buhner's book "Healing Lyme". It may be helpful for those of us with Lyme Disease and also he reports that it can help increase CD57 counts.  At one point, I was taking 16 capsules a day.  I still find this to be a very effective option.  Raintree MYCO may be helpful for dealing with yeast, mold, and fungal issues.  It may also help to carry other treatments deeper into the cells.

• Barefoot Herbal Dewormer

Barefoot Herbal Dewormer has been a powerful option in my frequent parasite cleansing efforts.  I discuss this product in more detail in a recent blog.

General Detoxification

• Beyond Balance TOX-EASE, TOX-EASE GL, TOX-EASE II

TOX-EASE, TOX-EASE GL, and TOX-EASE II are blends of numerous herbs that may support optimal detoxification.  I have used these product several times during my recovery and find them to be very useful options in supporting the body's ability to detoxify. • Pekana Homeopathics (apo-HEPAT, RENELIX, ITIRES)

Pekana Homeopathics (apo-HEPAT, RENELIX, ITIRES) are some of the best homeopathic products I have used to support drainage and detoxification.  They are for the liver, kidneys, and lymphatic system respectively.  They may be a good base for supporting the body's ability to detoxify.  In my opinion, everyone with Lyme disease should talk with their doctor about adding these into their foundational program. I've also had excellent results with TOXEX and MUNDIPUR which are both from Pekana.

• Healthforce Intestinal Drawing Formula

Healthforce Intestinal Drawing Formula is a powerful binder for many different toxins. It includes Zeolite, Charcoal, Bentonite Clay, and other detoxification-supporting substances.

BioRay LiverLife is an excellent product for supporting the liver, a primary organ of detoxification.

• Eclectic Red Root

Eclectic Red Root is a product I have used to support movement of the lymphatics and detoxification.  It was excellent for me when I was detoxing heavily from the use of GcMAF therapy.

• BioPure Chlorella

BioPure Chlorella has been a staple in my recovery.  I often chewed 30-40 tablets about 30-45 minutes before a meal.   There are so many benefits to chlorella including that it may be helpful for detoxification of heavy metals.  BioPure carries a high quality chlorella product that is what I personally use.  Jarrow carries a number of chlorella products as well such as Yaeyama Chlorella.

  New Sun Fiber Cleanse

New Sun Fiber Cleanse is a blend of Psyllium, Apple Fiber, Flax, Bentonite, and other ingredients to bind toxins and support effective toxin removal.  Note that psyllium contains a small amount of gluten and may not be tolerated by those with gluten sensitivities.

Longevity Plus Zeo Gold supports detoxification.  It is a product I use daily mixed in water with Bio En'R-Gy C.

• NutraMedix Zeolite and Zeolite HP

NutraMedix offers two zeolite products for detoxification of heavy metals and other toxins.  Zeolite is generally used first and later one moves to Zeolite HP.  Zeolite HP pulls a number of metals beyond what the Zeolite product does and it is best to follow the correct order of taking these products to minimize potential problems.

• Beyond Chelation Improved

• BioPure MicroSilica

MicroSilica is a detoxification support option available from BioPure.  Its focus is to detoxify heavy metals in the gastrointestinal tract; paving the way for more metals to move into the GI tract as previously present metals are excreted.

• Detoxamin

Detoxamin is an EDTA suppository that may be helpful for removal of heavy metals.  In my personal journey, I used Detoxamin suppositories earlier on and later switched to prescription DMSA suppositories.  I've now cycled back to the Detoxamin once again.  They are becoming more and more popular with a number of doctors as a tool in detoxifying heavy metals.

Inflammation

• Life Enhancement NanoCurcuminoids

Life Enhancement NanoCurcuminoids is a product I used to reduce inflammation.  It is also sometimes used in the Klinghardt Cocktail.

Pekana INFLAMYAR is available as a liquid homeopathic, a topical cream, and pellets.  This product was something I used regularly when doing GcMAF therapy to reduce inflammation.

Hypercoagulation and Biofilms

• Boluoke

Boluoke is likely one of the strongest options for dealing with hypercoagulation available as a natural option.  Dr. Klinghardt once said that everyone with Lyme disease should consider (with your doctor) Boluoke as part of their treatment protocol.

Beyond Balance MC-BFM-1 is a product I have used as part of my protocol to support my body in dealing with biofilms.

NutraMedix Serrapeptase is reported to be highly beneficial in supporting healthy blood and addressing issues which may result in a hypercoagulated state.

  Natura Health Products Vital Adapt

Vital Adapt is a product I learned about in early 2010 at a Klinghardt conference.  It is created by Donnie Yance, a well-known herbalist.  It contains a number of adaptogens that may be helpful for those of us with chronic illnesses, high stress lives, burnt out adrenals, and more.  A product data sheet can be found here.

• Rhodiola Rosea

Rhodiola Rosea is a product that a practitioner suggested for adrenal support.  It was one of the only things I did to support my adrenals after we found that I had Stage 4 Adrenal exhaustion.

Essential Fatty Acids

YES Parent Essential Oils are seed-based oils that are discussed in the book "The Hidden Story of Cancer ".  They may be a much better option for adults as opposed to fish-oil based essential fatty acid supplements.

• Metagenics EPA-DHA Extra Strength

Metagenics EPA-DHA Extra Strength is my fish oil of choice.  I generally use both plant-based oils such as YES Oils above and fish oils.

• Supernatant

Supernatant is a probiotic that I learned about from Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt.  I have used it as one of my favorite probiotics.  BioImmersion makes a number of superb probiotic products and is probably the best probiotic companies I have found.

• Custom Probiotics

Custom Probiotics is a small company that offers many different probiotic combinations.  I have used the Adult Formula CP-1.

• Florastor

Florastor contains a yeast called Saccharomyces Boulardii which competes with pathenogenic yeasts in the body.   I use the Florastor Kids as it does not contain titanium dioxide and also tastes quite good.

• Mutaflor

Mutaflor is a probiotic made from E. coli strains that I have found to be quite powerful.  It is not inexpensive, but it does seem to work well in my experience.
